Setting up a Drift car

Hey, I'm new to the RC world, and I recently purchased an XB RTR on a TT-01E Chassis.
I want to play with drifting. I've already wrapped electrical tape around the tires and had some fun with that . . . but over all I found the tape still had too much grip so my drifts ended sooner than I hoped. So I decided to order some Tamiya Drift tires (hopefully they'll be here in a week or two).
Without purchasing more new parts, what are things I should adjust on the car setup to...

DB01 slipper question

I've got conflicting info regarding the 501 slipper and the DB01...
I've been told that the 501's fits in the DB01, but it looks like it's a different width than the stock setup. (the bearings on the 501 slipper do not line up with the slots on the durga's motor/slipper mount)
I've also read that it may be as simple as swapping out a part or 2 to make it work...

New To 1/10 Scale Electric Onroad

I recently got the itch for 1/10 electric onroad and bought a Mini M03. I would like to get into VTA and later some Touring. What would be a good kit to start off with, something i could use for both VTA and Touring. I`m looking for a the best kit for the $$, strong and durable ( if thats possible with TC ).

All the advice will be appreciated.

TT-01 Ball Diff installation

Got a TT-01R and I just picked up a Tamiya TT-01 ball diff (to be installed in the rear). But when I put it into the car, the dog bones are binding up with the diff cups and not allowing the suspension to move up and down freely. I've already removed all o-rings in the cups and it is still binding.

How to solve this binding issue? I heard shorter dogbones? How about universals? Any aftermarket universals will solve this?

M03 blank setup sheet?

I've been looking for a blank setup sheet for the M03 but haven't been able to find one. If somebody was able to point me in the right direction, it'd be appreciated. (Even a setup sheet that isn't blank would do... I can edit out the unwanted details)

F104 Pro setup?

Hello Fellow Tamiya Racers,
Anyone out there with some setup advice for the new F104 Pro?

I've mine together this week and did my first track time last night. It took two races for the tires to get some grip. I'm talking parking lot racing with sugar water, for outdoor TCS conditions.

Here is what I'm doing; perhaps there is some advice on how to improve the setup.
- using the 104/25 gears this seemed slow so I am going to try 104/27 (the manual...

I am new to this forum so be easy on me. I just installed a Sport Tuned motor and an Aluminum 18t pinion on my Tamtech 1/16 Mini Fox. I'm not sure if I notice a big speed difference. Is there anything else that I need to adjust at all ? Thanks !

Tamiya pinions/pitch

I was hoping someone could clear up the mystery with Tamiya pinions. There are .4, .6, and 05 module pinion. I have a TB03 so what should I be looking for? It sates AV pinions in the manual but I can only find them up to 25t and it doesn't tell me their pitch.

Tamiya Plastic Model Instructions

I am in a bit of a fix. I desperately need five sets of plastic model instructions for Tamiya kits I have. My instructions were lost in a move. That's right, I did not have them in their respective boxes (I've learned a valuable lesson from this). The kits aren't the latest, but they aren't the oldest either.

I have contacted Tamiya America (they can't help me they said). I live in Australia and am not getting any response from the Tamiya agent here.

TG10 GT in the TCS???

Wondering what the interest is in the TG10 GT class in the TCS?? We have run this class for the past 9 years and have noticed in the past few years that the attendance in the class has dropped and very few people have joined. Last year, I think some of the qualifying rounds had less than 4 cars entered.

I am thinking that if we cannot fill a group/round should I retire the class for the 2009 season?? Or should I just make it a special class for the...
