Setting up a Drift car

Hey, I'm new to the RC world, and I recently purchased an XB RTR on a TT-01E Chassis.
I want to play with drifting. I've already wrapped electrical tape around the tires and had some fun with that . . . but over all I found the tape still had too much grip so my drifts ended sooner than I hoped. So I decided to order some Tamiya Drift tires (hopefully they'll be here in a week or two).
Without purchasing more new parts, what are things I should adjust on the car setup to...

DB01 slipper question

I've got conflicting info regarding the 501 slipper and the DB01...
I've been told that the 501's fits in the DB01, but it looks like it's a different width than the stock setup. (the bearings on the 501 slipper do not line up with the slots on the durga's motor/slipper mount)
I've also read that it may be as simple as swapping out a part or 2 to make it work...

New To 1/10 Scale Electric Onroad

I recently got the itch for 1/10 electric onroad and bought a Mini M03. I would like to get into VTA and later some Touring. What would be a good kit to start off with, something i could use for both VTA and Touring. I`m looking for a the best kit for the $$, strong and durable ( if thats possible with TC ).

All the advice will be appreciated.

motor question

I am just looking into more of the rules and such and since I want to run GT2 does this mean that the motor for the actual race is supplied by TCS? So the motor I would use for practice I would have to take out and then go get one from the offical's?

I am wanting to run this year in the series in the GT2 class and under the chassis allowences TT01 is mention. Does that cover all the TT01 chassis including the TT01R and TT01E or only the TT01 chassis?

Hello!

We have been fast at work preparing for the up coming TCS season and are pleased to annonce the dates, rules, formats, and guide lines for 2010. Everything is now posted on the www.tamiya.ca site under the TCS section. You will see some changes and we are pleased to have the season starting sooner with the 1st race happening November 8th 2009!!!!!

This race is not just for the racers, but for the spectators and potential racers out there. Even if your not from the Welland area, you never know who is coming to the mall any given day. The track will be set up right in centre court, where traffic will be heaviest. It will be a 48'x72' track.

Spec and GT3 class

I'm new to TCS this past year but has there ever been any consideration to adding the Spec and/or the GT3 class to the Canadian TCS? I think most people consider the Mini somewhat of a entry level class but I realized this year that its pretty competitive and those cars are turning quicker laps then most GT2 cars. I think it could be discouraging to some new drivers.

Also would like to see the GT2 class move to 17.5t brushless. I am getting passed by minis out there!

TT-01 Ball Diff installation

Got a TT-01R and I just picked up a Tamiya TT-01 ball diff (to be installed in the rear). But when I put it into the car, the dog bones are binding up with the diff cups and not allowing the suspension to move up and down freely. I've already removed all o-rings in the cups and it is still binding.

How to solve this binding issue? I heard shorter dogbones? How about universals? Any aftermarket universals will solve this?

TT01 mod recomendations

I'm thinking of running a TT01 in Septembers Porsche Cup. Other than adding oil shocks, (I've added those already) what sort of hop ups are recommended to make this an adequate (if not competitive) GT3 platform?

Hi TRF team,

Thanks for a good event, would you please post all of the results for the weekend? (top three know who they are but I imagine that most people would like to know how they stacked up 4-25th)

For what it is worth, I prefer the system you used last year - I will volunteer to do the addition and writting (assuming I qualify next year if it means we can return to that system).
